Residence Reclaim-a-thon

Project type(s):

Employer: Concordia University’s Centre for Creative Reuse (CUCCR)

Overview

In the summer of 2017 we noticed how much was being thrown away as students left the residences on our campuses. By winter 2018, we had come up with a plan to recuperate, weigh and donate out to community organizations. On average the project diverts 3 tonnes of mostly clothing from the landfill. Now in it’s seventh year, it has been integrated into the Residence Life move out process.
